Our Process in Kitchen & Bathroom Cabinet Remodeling

Purchasing Kitchen and bathroom cabinets for your home is much more than just purchasing cabinets. It’s an investment in your home! A kitchen or bathroom Remodel can seem like an overwhelming task. We want to make it as easy as possible for you. Here is what you can expect from us.

In-Home Consultation

Remodel Consultations are part of the service we provide at no charge! During our visit to your home, we will find out what you want to change about the space and how you need it to function. Share your ideas about styles and colors with us. Measurements will be collected by the same person who orders the cabinets and oversees the installations. We are responsible for all kitchen and bath cabinets fitting as designed.

Design Process Begins

Using the measurements we collect and the feedback you provide, a design layout is created especially for you using our state-of-the-art Design and Manufacturing Software for the Cabinets. Our design software empowers us to build and remodel for both small and large kitchen cabinets, entertainment centers, doors, desks, closets, and more. It produces detailed shop & finished drawings, floor plans, elevations, 3D perspectives, material reports, door reports, and panels. Our design process allows us to go above and beyond our duties as custom cabinet designers.

Cabinet Presentation

This step is a big one! It is the decision-making part of the process.

First, we will contact you for an appointment at our showroom to review your customized design.
Photo realistic, 3D renderings are presented for your review. Additional design work resulting from changes to the initial layout may require a deposit, which will be applied to the purchase of your cabinets. Virtual Reality renderings are available on request, however a separate appointment may be necessary.

While you are here, browse samples of cabinet doors, counter tops, and cabinet hardware. We will assist you in coordinating colors and materials.

Discussing your budget is key at this point. It helps us know which cabinet line will best fit your financial needs. It also gives us a good starting point in presenting a product you will be happy with.

Speaking of budget, consider this. It’s important to stay on budget, but just as important is setting a realistic one. A good rule of thumb is, expect to spend 10-15% of your home’s value on a kitchen remodel. The largest costs of a kitchen remodel are the cabinets and appliances averaging about 65-70%, with labor and other expenses coming in around 30-35%. This, of course, depends on the products you choose. Keep in mind the cost-to-value ratio. Based on last year’s national averages, the kitchen remodeling cost vs. value in our region for 2020 is projecting a 50-60% return on investment.

Finalize Cabinet Drawings

Now it’s time to finalize the design and approve drawings. We will confirm a list of your chosen products and services to be performed. .

Cabinet Delivery

Once the order is placed, cabinets deliver directly to your home in 5-6 weeks. Upon receiving a delivery date, we will coordinate that with you and the shipper. Please make sure you have a place to safely store the cabinets until the time of installation.
